CARTO® 3 is one of the most advanced 3D mapping systems that provides advanced catheter localization and fast anatomical mapping (FAM) compared to its previous version, CARTO® XP. The Ensite NavXTM system, which is one of the competitors of CARTO® 3, allows excellent simultaneous electrical data collection by using multielectrodes. However, a representative advantage of the CARTO® 3 system is that, catheter localization can be achieved with less distortion. Advances in the CARTO® system in the future are expected to incorporate new features such as advanced FAM for facilitating efficiency in a cardiac electrophysiologists’ work.
